Church on Fort Road, also known as Fort Road Victory Church (FRVC), is a vibrant, Spirit-led community in Edmonton, Alberta, passionate about seeing lives transformed through the power of Jesus Christ. We believe in the truth of God’s Word, the presence of the Holy Spirit, and the unity of all believers. Whether you’re new to faith or looking for a place to grow, you are welcome here
Mission
Our mission is to lead people into an encounter with Jesus Christ and empower them to fulfill their mission. We do this through our Rooted discipleship program and then helping followers of Jesus Stay Rooted through Small Groups and Serve Teams

God
We believe in one true and living God—eternally revealed as the Father (Creator of all), the Son (Jesus Christ, God incarnate), and the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of Jesus:
• Virgin birth
• Death for our sins
• Bodily resurrection
• Ascension to God
• Imminent return in glory

Holy Spirit
We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit:
• He confirms salvation inwardly
• He guides and shapes Christ-like character
• He baptizes believers in power, initially evidenced by speaking in tongues, then through bold testimony and service
• He gives supernatural gifts (1 Corinthians 12:8-10)

Salvation
Salvation comes by grace through faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, not by human effort.

Water Baptism
We believe in water baptism as a public declaration that a believer has died and risen with Christ to live a life of holiness and love.

The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired and complete revelation of God’s will and plan for salvation through Jesus Christ.
​
Eternity
We believe Jesus will return to gather His people. Those who reject His redemptive work will experience eternal separation from God.

The Church
We believe in the unity of all true believers as one universal body of Christ, regardless of denomination.
​
Communion
We celebrate the Lord’s Supper as a meaningful remembrance of Jesus and His sacrifice.

End Times
We believe that following His return, Jesus will reign on earth for 1,000 years. Afterward, there will be a new heaven and a new earth.
